I’m back in Idaho for a few months (after a long, long drive across the country) and went out to the ranch last week with my mom to snap a few photos of the sheep for Lava Lake Lamb’s website. As we were passing one of the corrals, three white fluff balls came running out to greet us!
There are many wonderful things to do at the ranch, but I have to admit that playing with Great Pyrenees puppies is hard to beat. At only two months old, these guys are already huge and will grow up to be well over 100 pounds.
The ranch foreman, Pedro Loyola, has named the fluffiest pup Peluchin, which roughly translates to a cuddly, hairy toy (quite fitting).
The smaller of the short-haired pups is named Paco, which is a nickname for Francisco.
The last pup has yet to be named - a job we are leaving to our customers. To enter a name, go to Lava Lake Lamb's Facebook page!
Each time we go visit them, it's ridiculously hard to leave.
